14th October 2022 - Banningham and Colby Community Hall

A considerable amount of refurbishment work has been carried out at the Community Hall and it is now available for bookings.  So, if you have an event that you are looking for a venue for - wedding reception, party, social event or club meeting - this could be the place for you.  A new website for the Hall is under construction where online booking will be available, but in the meantime please contact Colin Studholme on 01263 587952 for more information and to arrange a viewing.

30 September 2022 - Urgent: Security of Property

Our District Councillor has alerted us to suspicious activity and potential break-ins at locations in the area, particularly in rural locations.  Please be wary and continue to ensure the security of your property, and if you see anything suspicious please report it to the police

 

30 September 2022 - Notice of Conclusion of Audit

The Parish Council audit of accounts for the year ended 31 March 2022 has been completed.  The Annual Governance and Accountability can be found in the Documents section of this website.

 

20 September 2022 - Affordable Housing Proposal

Update - the Parish Council will discuss a draft "Call for Sites" document at the next meeting and respond to NNDC/Broadland Housing Association.  Once agreed, all households will receive the letter.

What We Do

The Parish Council is responsible for:

  • the village green

  • the playing field

  • the allotments

  • the 3 noticeboards

  • commenting on planning applications

  • the 2 village signs

  • grants towards churchyards upkeep

     

   The Banningham & Colby Community Hall is in the process of a charity registration with the Parish Council as Sole/Managing Trustee
