The Parish Council is consulted by North Norfolk District Council on all planning applications in the parish.
North Norfolk District Council sends the Clerk an email notification with a link to their website where all the relevant documents can be viewed. The Parish Council has 21 days to respond - no extensions of time are permitted unless the application is for a major housing development or similar which would require a longer timescale for consultation.
Planning is an item on all parish council meeting agenda; if the Council cannot meet the response deadline within the normal meeting timetable, an extra meeting is arranged. The Agenda is published in the normal way, and there is the usual public participation time.
Once the response is agreed at the meeting, it is immediately uploaded onto North Norfolk District Council's website, and is thus available for public viewing.
Decision notices will be reported to the first available Parish Council meeting after receipt.
