Play@Elden'sRetreat
14th October 2024
The Parish Council has secured £68,000 in funding from the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the National Lottery (Awards for All) to install Play Equipment at Elden's Retreat - the playing field off Bridge Road. This was the most popular action which residents highlighted in the questionnaire carried out earlier in the year so Councillors are delighted to have been able to make it happen so quickly. Work starts week commencing 14th October and should last about 4 weeks. Over a dozen items of play equipment for 4-12 year olds will be installed in the corner of the field next to the car park. Summer Village Event
17th August 3.00pm to 7.00pm
We are organising a summer event at the Community Hall on Saturday 17 August. There will be a barbeque, live music from one of our talented residents, a bar for drinks and some games and stalls.
The event will run from 3pm and finish just after 7 pm. It will be a great opportunity to meet other residents, to engage in a community event which many residents supported in the survey and also to see what has been achieved so far with the renovation of our Community Hall.
Tickets for the event will be £3 per person and this will give you one free offering from the barbeque and one free drink from the bar. You may of course then purchase more of these. We would like tickets to be purchased in advance where possible so that we can plan for the right numbers. They can be purchased by contacting any of the parish councillors listed below.

Village Green Snowdrop Planting
January 2024
We have a 1000 snowdrops ready to be planted - please come and lend a hand. SATURDAY 27TH JANUARY 2024 at 10.00am. Bring a trowel or bulb planter if you can.
Defibrillator and CPR training

There will be 3 sessions commencing at 10.30, 13.00 and 15.00pm on Saturday 13th January 2024 .
